Nearby Landmarks: About 10–15 minutes’ walk from Seville Cathedral & La Giralda and close to Alameda de Hércules and the shopping streets of Calle Sierpes and Calle Tetúan.
Best Way to Arrive: Walk from the historic center, or use local buses or taxi to Plaza de la Encarnación.

Best First-Time Route (from the Cathedral)

From Seville Cathedral / La Giralda, walk into the pedestrian center: head north via streets like Calle Hernando Colón and continue along Calle Sierpes or Calle Tetúan. When you reach the busy square of La Campana, keep walking straight and follow signs toward Plaza de la Encarnación. The huge wooden “mushroom” structure of Setas de Sevilla will be in front of you.

From Barrio Santa Cruz & Alcázar

From the Alcázar or Barrio Santa Cruz, walk back toward the Cathedral and follow the same route through the central shopping streets. Walking time is usually 15–20 minutes, mostly along flat, pedestrian lanes lined with shops, cafés and bakeries.

Option 1 — From the Historic Center & Cathedral

Ideal if you’re staying near Seville Cathedral, Santa Cruz, or the main shopping streets.

  • From Seville Cathedral / Avenida de la Constitución: Walk away from the Cathedral into the pedestrian zone (Calle Hernando Colón or similar) and continue toward Calle Sierpes or Calle Tetúan. Follow these streets north until you reach La Campana.
  • La Campana to Plaza de la Encarnación: From La Campana, follow signs or maps toward Plaza de la Encarnación. The route takes you through narrow streets with shops and cafés; as soon as you enter the square, you will see the massive wooden structure of Metropol Parasol.
  • Walking Time: Expect around 10–15 minutes from the Cathedral and slightly longer from some hotels around Santa Cruz. Everything is very walkable and mostly pedestrianized.

Tickets & Time Slots

For the panoramic walkway and viewpoints at Setas de Sevilla, it’s smart to book a timed ticket in advance, especially for sunset. This avoids queues at busy times and guarantees your preferred time slot.

Option 2 — Public Transport (Bus, Tram & Metro)

From Santa Justa Train Station

Arriving by train at Sevilla–Santa Justa? You can take a short taxi ride directly to Plaza de la Encarnación, or use local TUSSAM city buses toward the historic center. Get off near Campana or the central shopping streets and walk the final 5–10 minutes.

From Triana & Across the River

From Triana, cross the river via Puente de Isabel II (Triana Bridge) toward the city center. Once you’re near Plaza Nueva, follow the pedestrian streets (Tetúan / Sierpes) north to Setas de Sevilla. Walking time is usually 15–20 minutes.

Tram & Metro

Seville’s MetroCentro tram (T1) runs between San Bernardo and Plaza Nueva. From Plaza Nueva, walk through the central streets (around 10 minutes) to reach Plaza de la Encarnación.
Metro line stops such as Puerta de Jerez also connect easily with the center by foot or tram.

Local Buses

Several TUSSAM buses serve the historic center and stop within a short walk of Setas de Sevilla. Use a maps app or ask the driver for the nearest stop to Plaza de la Encarnación, then follow signs into the square.

Paying for Transport

You can usually pay city buses with small change or contactless cards, and there are rechargeable transport cards sold at kiosks and metro stations. Taxis and rideshares accept cash or card, depending on the company.

Option 3 — Scenic Walks & Neighborhoods

Because Setas de Sevilla is in the heart of the city, walking is one of the most pleasant ways to arrive. You’ll pass historic plazas, churches and lively streets on the way to Plaza de la Encarnación.

  • From Alameda de Hércules: Stroll south from the bohemian area of Alameda de Hércules through local bars and cafés until you reach Plaza de la Encarnación. It’s a short, relaxed walk of around 10 minutes.
  • From Macarena & North of the Center: If you’re staying in the Macarena area, head south toward the city center and follow signs or maps to Encarnación. The route is mostly flat and takes you through residential streets and local markets.
  • Photo Moments on the Way: Keep an eye out for small plazas, churches and traditional shops as you approach Setas de Sevilla. The contrast between the modern wooden structure and the old city streets makes for great photos.

Guided Walking Tours

If you prefer to combine navigation with storytelling, consider joining a guided walking tour that includes Las Setas and nearby neighborhoods.

From Airports & Day Trips

From Seville Airport (SVQ)

The airport bus or taxi will bring you into the city center (stops such as Santa Justa or Plaza de Armas). From there, you can walk or take a short taxi to Plaza de la Encarnación. Travel time from the airport is usually 30–40 minutes depending on traffic.

From Malaga & Costa del Sol

Visiting Seville on a day trip from Malaga or the Costa del Sol? Many organized tours include free time in the historic center, so you can easily walk to Setas de Sevilla from the drop-off point.

Arriving on a Tour Bus

Tour buses usually park outside the narrow historic streets. Your guide will lead you on foot toward the main attractions. Ask them to point out the route to Plaza de la Encarnación so you can return to Las Setas later on your own.

Driving, Parking & Taxis

Driving into the Center

The streets around Plaza de la Encarnación are narrow and busy, with limited vehicle access. If you’re driving, it’s better to park in a public garage close to the center and walk the last few minutes to Las Setas.

Parking

Look for underground car parks near the historic center (around Alameda de Hércules, Plaza de Armas or similar). Always check opening hours and tariffs, and avoid trying to park directly in the small streets next to Setas de Sevilla.

Taxis & Rideshares

Taxis can drop you close to Plaza de la Encarnación. Just ask the driver for “Setas de Sevilla” or “Metropol Parasol”. From the drop-off point, it’s only a short walk into the main square.

Bikes & Scooters

Seville has a growing network of bike lanes and some areas where e-scooters are permitted. Park bikes and scooters only in designated areas, never on the wooden structure or in the main pedestrian flows under Las Setas.

Practical Visit Tips

Best Time to Arrive

Many visitors like to time their visit for sunset, so they can see Seville in daylight, at golden hour, and then lit up at night. Arrive 20–30 minutes before sunset if you want to enjoy the changing colors and take photos calmly.

What to Wear

Wear comfortable shoes for walking over the curved walkway and through the historic center. In summer, bring a hat and water for the heat; in cooler months, a light jacket is useful for evening breezes on the upper level.

Accessibility & Families

Elevators provide step-free access to the viewpoint, making Setas de Sevilla suitable for most visitors with mobility needs. Families with strollers usually find it easy to navigate, though it’s best to avoid the very busiest times if you’re traveling with small children.
